What is Kids Fun Fest?
Kids Fun Fest is hosted by Lubbock Children’s Health Clinic and co-sponsored by the City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department. Kids Fun Fest is a fundraising event for local non-profit organizations and is designed for kids and families. The festival will take place in Mackenzie Park (located at 600 E. Broadway - in the Santa Land area) on Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. At the event, families will have the opportunity spend time with their children and participate in carnival/festival type game and activity booths. You will also enjoy delicious food at the food booths, and learn about the activities, services, and programs offered by each participating non-profit organization. The event is FREE to attend by the public. Tickets may be purchased for 50 cents each to be used for booth offerings.
Non-profit organizations partaking in Kids Fun Fest are able to earn funds for their programs and projects. The cost of operating Kids Fun Fest is underwritten by business sponsors and proceeds from donated raffle items. These sponsors enable Lubbock Children’s Health Clinic to host the event for the non-profit organizations. Our goal is to have Kids Fun Fest become a tradition which will be eagerly anticipated by Lubbockites from year to year.
Another main attraction of Kids Fun Fest will be the Open Stage where kids of all ages can showcase their talents. Choirs, dance schools, gymnastic teams, karate schools, and individuals will have the opportunity to perform throughout the afternoon. Recruitment of these performers from local schools, churches, and businesses will be done by Lubbock Children’s Health Clinic. If you know of a talented kid or group, please complete and return the Open Stage Registration Form

We thank the numerous volunteers for helping us make the event a successful one. The community spirit which the festival embodies, involving people from all walks of life, is a reflection of the importance Lubbock places on its youth.
